HAPPY EASTER…..

Finally a Sunday I don’t have to wake Tommy up for church.  He is up and at them early.   I had to have him crawl into bed with Daddy so I could run outside and play Easter Bunny and hid our plastic eggs on the front lawn.  Always fun for him to find them.

We will go to church this morning and then I really don’t know what we will be doing.  I am going to make a Ham and trimming this afternoon, but otherwise we are taking it easy.

Tommy just called me from the neighbors.  He snuck out the door and I didn’t know where he was.  ARGH!!  It is going to be one LONG summer.  He loves to be outside so I can’t get anything done in the house since I have to be outside watching Tommy.

YESTERDAY ….

VERY BUSY would describe yesterday.   Hubby wanted to stay home and get caught up with some things.   Tommy and I went to the Easter Egg Hunt at church.  He found about 11 eggs and then I told him that was enough and we should leave some for other children.  I wish other parents would have been as kind.  Some children had huge baskets of eggs while other children had very few.  I wasn’t impressed with that!  Tommy didn’t want to play in the jumpy thing or make any crafts so we visited the Easter Bunny and left.

Tommy and I then went to the library and picked up our reserves.  Tommy got the movie Wendy Meets Casper so he was excited.  Then we went to the post office to mail off our bills.  Then we stopped at McDonalds and got a happy meal and went to the park to eat.   After the park we went to Toys R Us.  They had buy two movies and get one free sale.  So the Easter Bunny bought the Family 3 movies for Easter.  I don’t buy a movie for a specific child or than they say, that is my movie so and so cant’ watch it.  So movies are owned by the entire family.  Erik is especially bad at this.  I also bought Tommy a little digital camera at Toys R Us on clearance.   But he likes his barbie one better still.   I wanted him to have his own camera as he has dropped my digital camera already twice!  Then we went to Target as I need some nylons for church.   Finally we went to Cub Foods to buy groceries!  After groceries we came home.  At home we played outside until Daddy came home.

I didn’t have my digital camera all day so I haven’t gotten pictures to upload.  Josh left the camera in his locker at school.  I will actually have to develop pics.  ARGH!!

SUPPER:

Chicken and Noodles

  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 4 cups broth from chicken (or broth plus water to equal 4 cups)
  • 8 oz. egg noodles
  • Garlic salt or Adobo
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup

Heat the broth to boiling. Add the noodles and cook until almost done. Add soup, chicken, and seasonings to taste. Cook until the chicken is heated through and the soup is well blended. You may sprinkle with parsley for some color if you would like.

I had to get a few things done around the house so after Supper Tommy went shopping with Daddy so I got the Easer Basket things ready, washed dishes and scrubbed the floors in the kitchen and bathroom.  When Daddy got home we dyed Easter Eggs and headed to bed.  Tommy went to sleep quickly knowing the Easter Bunny was going to be coming.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with friends and family!!!
