The weekend is ending….where did it go?? I didn’t get much of my list completed today. Oh well. I will work on it during the week next week. I have one outfit ironed for tomorrow so I am ok for work. I napped until about 4:00, then I got up and bathed the cats and did Josh’s Taxes. Then I decided to go for a walk. I am not sure how far I walked, I am guessing it is a mile, but hubby didn’t think so. I will check out the distance tomorrow when I drive to daycare. I hope to build up to 2 miles. My asthma was pretty good. Once I got home from my walk, hubby and Tommy wanted to go on one too. So I went for a second walk. I guess I got my exercise in for the day! Tomorrow is my weight in day at Weight Watchers, so all the exercise can’t be a bad idea. I am worried I won’t have lost another pound this week. I ate out twice this week when I was at the conference. Plus every vender at the conferene gave out candy and chocolate at their exhibits. I didn’t count my points as well as I should have. I forgot to do it entirely yesterday. We will see………
Tonight for supper I make Vegetable Turkey Hoagies. They were pretty good, but high in points. I think my portion was about 7 points. What I have been doing is saving most of my points up for supper since I eat with hubby and the kids and I make them nothing low cal or anything. I will post the recipe later! Tomorrow I am working late and won’t be home for supper so I packed lunch and supper for at work. While I was babysitting I did cut up cuke and cantaloupe for the week. I also washed and put all the grapes in a bowl for the week. We go through at least 2 containers of grapes a week. I ordered the Light and Tasty Magazine today since they have all the nutritional info for each recipe. I had to figure out the points for the recipe tonight and that is a little time consuming. I might have to do that for each meal when I make the menu or something.
This evening I babysat my neice and nephew. I forget that not everyone knows or understands my nephew. In our neighborhood everyone knows Nick as we watch him quite often. Josh had a friend over and he asked about my nephew. I see my nephew as not exhibiting as many autistic behaviors anymore, but I forget his speech and what he talks (same subject over and over ) about isn’t the norm. Josh said to him “he is autistic”. That is all I heard, not sure what he said. Nick was telling jokes, and he sort of talks in a robot like voice without alot of inflections when telling a joke. I think it is great he finally figured out jokes! I forgot to cut his hair tonight when he was here…OOPS…. He is a great kid!
Well I am ditching the to do list for the night and going to bed to read. Tomorrow is another day and it was great to get out and enjoy the day today. Josh has been letting me use his CD Player when I go for walks and I listen to my book on tape. It makes it very enjoyable.
IMMAX3 – I picked up that book “The Six Wives:The Queens of Henry the VII” – that is a hefty tome. WOW! I also picked up a DVD of the PBS presentation of the similiar name. I am really into reading about the subject right now. I even found a book at goodwill this weekend called “The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn”.
Well I am off to bed…..jsut started a new book yesterday……Good Night!
So, are you one of the original Xangans around? When did Xanga start? Did you have one of the first blogs? That’s exciting!
I just had to tell you that I’m so glad you posted on Suzanne’s site! I’ve always wondered about your name! Great story! 🙂
Ditto what LisaJax said…it made me all teary. I’m happy for you that Tommy “came along”.
Do you like “Bookseller”? It’s got some rough parts in it, but I thought it was well-written. I wonder how long I could live in such a society without getting myself killed for being mouthy.
Isn’t “Wives” a tome? Man! I am struggling through it. Maybe if I had read it before Wier’s book, it would be new and exciting but a lot of the stuff overlaps. Ah well, I’ll be well-versed in the events of the reign of Henry VIII at the end of this!
