Our taxes and are done an sent in! Yeah….our return is larger than anticipated, but not thinking I will be able to swing the new stove since we have to pay for Erik’s braces this year and a few other expenses. I will send $3000.00 out right away for our car insurance for the year. Sure hurts to have three cars and a teen driver!! Hopefully we won’t get hit this year with as many car repairs. That will make the savings last longer.
I just got up from a nap, but Tommy never did take one. Josh went to church with Amy but is coming home to watch Tom for us tonight so we can go to the play. We picked up two movies from the library and should be a quiet weekend. At least I hope so!! I bought more laundry detergent so I will finish up the laundry and start the week off good.
Tomorrow I am going to make breakfast burritos and see how they freeze for quick brekfasts. I try to make my own convenience foods as it is cheaper and better for the kids and they want them! I did splurge and buy pop today for the kids….(teens) so we will see how long that will last. Once it is gone….it is gone.
I hope to read more of my book for bookgroup this month. I haven’t gotten very into this book yet, so it is a bit of a chore to read right now. But I sure do enjoy the quiet moments to read in my busy day when I can find it. I like that my group is reading more classics, I feel like my variety of literature is limited. So I like broadening my genre. Saturday’s we always go to the library….I am so in awe of the library here in the city. I am spoiled!! I can get all the books I want and it doesn’t break my budget. There is no reason not to be able to read. I grew up in a small rural town with a pathetic library…my kids are so lucky and I make sure I take them every Saturday. I remember when I first took Erik to the library. He was quite old and had no idea what a library was. He isn’t much of a reader, which is too bad. Tommy enjoys the library and I hope he continues to have the love of reading. Josh is a reader, but nothing like I was when I was his age. But I was a bit of a bookworm. I wish I had time to still be one!
Good for you, getting your taxes in already! I’d hoped that we would but we won’t until after hubby gets back from India.
We love our library! We never went to the library when I was a child…parents weren’t readers. But my hubby and I are and we dearly enjoy a good afternoon in the stacks.
Have a good weekend!
