1/3 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 cups Quaker Oaks (quick or old fashion, uncooked)
1 cup chopped fresh unpeeled apple (about 1 medium)
In a 3-quart saucepan, bring juice, water, syrup, cinnamon and salt to a boil. Stir in oats, apple. Return to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook about 1 minutes for quick oats (or 5 minutes for old fashioned oats) or until most of liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Let stand until of desired consistency.
